Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to stop by my little space! As much as I would love to respond to all the lovely comments you leave, I often don't get the chance. Skirts

Skirt1 Skirt2

Here are two skirts I made.   These are so simple to make that I was able to make one, including cutting it out in less than an hour.  Pretty much an instant gratification project, which I'm always up for.  I have to admit that I liked them better before I saw myself in a picture.  I still have quite a jelly belly to deal with!  I guess I need to start working on that.  Of course I don't intend to wear them with a shirt tucked in, that was just for the photo.  I have learned that I look better in these skirts if I have a cute stylish top, not a frumpy t-shirt like I have on now.  I can't remember which pattern I used, it was New Look, the same one I made PJ bottoms out of, but it is very easy.  Both of the fabrics I used are stretch wovens.  It's times like these (with a figure like mine) that I like lycra!  Now I need to make 5 more to have one for every day of the week.

Next on the sewing agenda - non frumpy cute tops, or I may just stock up on tank tops from Old Navy and call it good.

I was just going to say how awesome you look. Didn't you just have a baby? You look great!

And the skirts are cute too.

It's only been a month! You look fabulous! Love both of the skirts and I think the O.N. tanks will do just fine!

You look great and the skirts are perfect!

Frumpy? Who you call frumpy Little Miss?

Cute skirts! And, as Angela said, it's only been a month, you funny thing. My third baby was born 6 years ago, and my belly could win the gold at the Jelly Olympics, and I'm not frumpy, so you can't possibly be. So there.

The first thing I said when I saw this post (before reading it) was 'Oh my god her tummy's completely gone'. Seriously, you look great. And those skirts are super cute.

They look fabulous! And you don't look frumpy at all, you look lovely!

Love those skirts Beki!! I'd love to put skirt making on my to-do list :) Beautiful work!

God Bless Old Navy! I think I own at least 40 tank tops from that store:) They'll look perfect with your cutie new skirts! Also, HOW THE HECK DID YOU FIND TIME TO SEW?!

You look great for three kids and one only 4 weeks. I love the skirts. Aren't skirts the greatest invention. easy to wear, cool, and work appropriate. Lycra is a girls best frined. Although, do you have any tips for sewing with it? It always seems to crawl or be uneven when I sew with it.

2 posts in 2 days and 2 skirts done! Great job.

What? I thought they were skirts for (and on) your daughter. Seriously! You look great. And they're beautiful skirts, too. I think I like the one with the big flowers the best. Great print.

girl, you look friggin' amazing for just having a bebe!

love the skirts!

Cute!

And give your jelly belly a break, it just had a baby!

you look wonderful for just having a baby...a girl at that....the skirts are very stylish ..love them

Pretty skirts! I love the prints - especially the second one. Lookin' good mamma:)

so so so cute!! And, hasn't it only been a month? Geesh...nice belly! You look great, mama!

You are so funny. I was just thinking how thin you looked, especially for just having had a babe! Love the skirts.

in under an hour, your couldn't have glued them together quicker than that!!!!!!!!!!!
