100 more things about me
I originally did one of these over a year ago, but felt the need to do it again (kinda in a crafting slump). Yeah, I'm so full of myself!
- I like lists.
- I think it's easy to make a list like this.
- I love candy.
- I love citrus flavored candy, especially lemon/lime.
- My favorite is green skittles.
- My new favorite color is pink.
- I also really like brown.
- I have three kids.
- The third wasn't planned.
- Having three kids has been way harder than I ever imagined.
- I'm more scatterbrained now than I ever have been.
- I have unrealistic expectations for myself.
- Even though I realize this, I still disappoint myself.
- I am constantly searching to define myself.
- This list is part of my search.
- Self confidence is a new found thing for me.
- My blog has played a large part in it.
- I no longer feel like such an oddball (please don't burst my bubble!).
- I am overweight.
- I have had weight issues my entire adult life.
- Even though my body is far from perfect, I still love it.
- I want to lose weight for health reasons, not vanity.
- Well, sometimes for vanity.
- I don't ever want my children to see me "diet".
- I don't "diet", I strive to eat healthy.
- I find potty humor very funny.
- Poop is the topic of conversation way too often.
- Loud farts and burps are daily occurrences at my house.
- We usually laugh when someone lets one out.
- This was not the case in my home growing up.
- My kids make me laugh.
- I often make up silly songs to entertain my kids.
- I do funny dances too.
- I try to make my family laugh in the morning.
- They're usually very grumpy.
- They are not morning people.
- I like getting up early in the morning.
- But sometimes I like to sleep late.
- I genuinely like beer.
- The darker the better.
- I also like wine.
- Cabernet Savignon is my favorite.
- I don't like to get drunk. **see #9
- I'm a wanna be gardener.
- I try, but my flower beds look like crap.
- I don't have an eye for putting plants together.
- I love flowers.
- Both my daughters have flower names.
- That was intentional.
- I wish I were athletic.
- I haven't found sport I like.
- Too bad I'm married to a sports nut.
- Competition makes me stressed.
- I HATE stress.
- I do NOT strive under pressure.
- I don't bite my nails.
- But I do bite the skin around my nails and my cuticles.
- I think this is gross.
- I think nail biting is even nastier.
- I don't like feet.
- I can't stand when anyone, including my kids, put their feet on me.
- But I do love munching on baby feet.
- I usually keep my toenails painted.
- I love wearing open toed shoes.
- I like the smell of fresh laundry.
- I like my towels folded a certain way.
- If someone folds them a different way, I refold them my way.
- I'm the same way with t-shirts.
- I fold my laundry the same way as my mom and grandmother.
- I hate putting away laundry.
- I don't like the food on my plate to touch each other.
- Is that weird?
- I'll often save my favorite thing on my plate for last.
- I don't like to drive.
- I drive at least 50 miles a day.
- When I go somewhere with my husband I always make him drive.
- I always make him find our seat in church.
- I hate being late for church.
- I hate being late for anything.
- I'm not nearly as punctual now as I used to be.
- I enjoy cooking.
- But I often can't think of anything to cook.
- It always taste better when someone else makes it.
- I wish my husband knew how to cook.
- I love celebrity gossip.
- I watch Entertainment Tonight most days.
- I'd rather watch that than the national news.
- I listen to NPR on my commute home in the afternoons.
- I like an array of music.
- I don't care for country music or R&B.
- I think I have a Cake CD in my car at the moment, or maybe it's Harry Connick, Jr?
- Since having baby #3 I now drive a mini van.
- It's so not cool.
- But the space is nice.
- I can't stand when my floors are dirty.
- My floors always seem to be dirty.
- I like the smell of pine-sol.
- I feel like my life is moving in fast forward.
- I know that I'm going to miss these days one day.
- Coming up with this list was harder than I thought.
- My baby is 6 months old today.
So there you have it, 100 plus 1 more things about me that you never wanted to know. And if that wasn't enough, there's always the original 100 things.

6 months old? Wow - life really IS moving in fast forward. It's the same way here also. The weeks are starting to fly by - especially since we have school taking up each morning.
Munching baby toes has me a bit worried. Only because when one of my kids was really little (can't remember which one) I was looking at his little toes and found some poop. Yes, it was that yellow breast-fed poop that had dried to an orange-ish color. It was just another one of those places that poop turned up that I went, "How in the world...?"

how funny and insightful! i love getting a glimpse into your life. so much of what you wrote rang true with me, folding the laundry the same way as your mother...it drives me nuts when daniel folds them wrong. some day i will make a list like this.

Great list! We have quite a bit in common, like #1, #12, #26, #66, #70, #71 (eeeew!), #72-NO! & now I know the secret is #43. I guess we have been doing it wrong! ;)

Loved it. I could have written about 85 of those myself. Thank goodness not #8. :-) Looks like you are doing great at it though even though you probably have no idea how you are actually doing it. Happy 6th months Ava.

I loved reading your list Beki. At first I thought.. gosh 100 things.. but I just enjoyed reading them and was done the list before I even realized it. :)
And Ava gets sweeter by the day (or months.) Hard to believe 6 months already.
