2007 Goals
Wow, thanks for all your comments on my 2006 Goals in Review post. I honestly didn't think I did that great. I like making lists mostly because I like crossing things off. I'm much more productive that way. I am a firm believer in listing one's goals. There's something about seeing your goals written out in front of you that makes them more real. Something I need to work on is being more specific in my goals, and reading them more often. It does little good to write out your goals if you never go back to review them! I learned that while looking at my 2006 goals. There were a lot of things that I didn't do, or only half attempted, but may have if I had looked at that list before the end of the year! So here is goes:
2007 Goals
- get to pre-pregnant weight
- eat healthier foods
- include more physical activity
- make time for me
- sell something from my etsy shop
- be more open to requests for making things
- take a class to learn something new or improve on something I already know
- get comfortable with using my industrial sewing machine
- master zippers
- use more of my “good” fabric stash
- purchase less fabric (set a budget and stick to it)
- make more of my own clothing
- make more gifts
- give more things away, be more generous overall
- get my kids on a bedtime schedule
- devise a house cleaning plan
- grow a garden
- get organized with bill paying
- make a meal chart
- have friends over to dinner
- establish a date night
- spend more one on one time with each child
The 'Year of the House' goals:
- kitchen (paint cabinets, remove tile floor)
- kids bathroom (repair sheetrock, paint walls, make roman shade)
- master bedroom(new bedding, paint walls)
Okay, that seems like enough. I'm going to print this out and look at it often.
Sorry to bore you with all that. Enought with the lists already! This is supposed to be a craft blog, right? I promise my next few posts will be filled with craftiness - I have a backlog of things to share. Here's to a great 2007!!!

I love lists! I especially love when you get to cross stuff off a list... it's a compulsion...
Your list is admirable - it'll be fun to cheer you on and read about your progress here!

I love lists! Crossing things off is such a great motivator to keep going. I enjoyed reading your list - it gave me some good ideas.

How about a little help with that menu plan? I use a steno type notebook with the spiral at the top. One page for each week. On the front I write what's for dinner each night, the cookbook, page #, etc. On the back of the same sheet I write all the ingredients in a grocery list. Then I photocopy the list and head off to the store. My book still isn't full - but when it is - the work is done!!!
Your list sounds great and your daughter is a doll! - g

Lists are the path to enlightenment.

That is one impressive list! When I had small babies in the house, I would be happy with things like, "Have shower two days in a row." I was really impressed with what you accomplished last year as well. You've inspired me to come up with a list of my own Beki. I used to do that kind of thing all the time but it went by the wayside somewhere ... Thank you for sharing and Happy New Year to you!

Good list. A lot of those are ones I need to work on too.

Jeez girl - that's enough! You're great already. I'll need much more than a year to master zippers I'm afraid!

I thought I already responded to this post...but maybe I didn't (heh). Great list...it looks very similar to mine. I plan on more gift giving (as in the homemade kind) for birthdays this year. We're going for lighter christmas' and more emphasis on birthdays.
