SCORE!
I've been seeing a trend around blogland lately - everyone has been striking it big on the thrift scene. Me, I never have any luck, until yesterday. I decided to pop into a local store just because everyone else was finding such great stuff. I walked out of there with 10 pillowcases, 1 table cloth, 1 sheet, a bag of yo-yo's, a bag of various laces and ribbon, a bag of embroidery hoops, and two pieces of fabric.
Look at all these pretty pillow cases! Yes, that's Holly Hobby peeking out at the right.
There's more!!!
That red and blue floral table cloth is screaming to be a skirt, don't you agree? I think I gasped when I saw that little beauty of ribbon at the bottom right of the photo. Here's a closer look:
There's about three yards of it. Yes, it was definitely a score.
Holly Hobby!?!?!? YOU ARE SO LUCKY! I was a huge Holly Hobby fan when I was a little girl. Yes that ribbon is fantastic. You really lucked out. Can't wait to see what everything becomes. Have a great weekend Beki.

I don't have a lot of thrift store luck, either (maybe because I never go?). But now I'm inspired, if only to hunt down my old Holly Hobbie pillowcase! Love the mushrooms, too!

Ok, I'm jealous about the Holly Hobbie. If you make a skirt out of the red & blue floral tablecloth, it would be the perfect thing to wear on the Fourth of July!

Oh!!!! Isn't it so exciting!! Can you see the addiction? Whenever I see a new thrift store, my heart skips a beat. I know I said I was going on a fabric diet, but it's so hard to stop!!!

Sometimes it's mere luck to find great stuff at thrift score, especially when you're not looking for something specific.I tend to give up looking when i can't find what I want!Maybe, i should try your approach next time. Enjoy your sewing.

Score BIG TIME. See it is always worth a little visit, one day one, day you will get your reward. Man you got yours. Love Holly Hobby and one of the flower ones (the yellow with white flowers on) is one my Mom has on in her cupboard, will not use, and will not part with it either, I know why...Lush

I love vintage tablecloths and pillowcases. I also went yard saling and thrift shopping I also found 2 tablecloths and 2 pairs of pillow cases. I will have to take pics and show them to you Thanks for sharing your awesome finds
