three
Guess who's birthday it is? Yep, my little guy turns three today. Alex, my middle child, my only son, the spice in my life. This child makes me laugh every single day.
I can't believe that I was a bit disappointed when I found out I was having a son. I couldn't have been more wrong! Little boys are such a blessing!!! A heap of mischief, yes, but as sweet as can be.
In true Alex form, here he is, Polly Pocket in hand. I don't know why, but he loves those things. Alex at 3:
- giggles galore
- elaborate story telling
- imaginary friends
- lots of singing
- plenty of wiggles
- changing clothes 287 times a day
- getting into everything he's not supposed to
I wouldn't change a thing! Happy Birthday Alex, my blue eyed boy!!!
If you want a giggle, here he is demonstrating the lion stretch:
Gosh, I love this kid!!

Happy birthday, Alex. Enjoy your big day.
(What a cutie!)

Happy birthday, Alex (and Mom)! I love three. Your newly-minted three-year-old looks like so much fun! Too bad he can't come over to play with mine, but we're sending him long distance best birthday wishes.

I was the same way when I found out I was having a boy, by the way. "What am I going to do with a boy?!" Now I wonder what I would do w/o him - boys are so much fun!

Okay, so Aidin and Lily are the same age and Eliot and Alex are the same age. A play date is DEFINATELY in order. Shall we meet, say, in Arkansas?

Happy birthday Alex!
I know exactly what you mean, I didn't know how much I wanted a son until I had one either. Girls are wonderful and great too, but I'm learning there's just a different feeling with a boy.

(and beki, you are so lucky to have a child who performs on demand. neither of mine do that, which is in direct disreguard of the parent-child relationship.)
