quickie thrifting
Yesterday I made a quick run to the thrift store. The stock was low, but I was lucky enough to find some goodies.
2 pieces of fabric + 4 sheets + 4 pillowcases = $10, not bad.
These are my favorites. The coloring is off in the photo, but I think you get the idea. I would have taken a better picture using daylight, but they were still in the wash. Isn't that one in the middle fabulous? As usual, I have no plans for these, but they sure are pretty to look at!

Hey! I just found your blog today, and glad I did! So cute! I love the lil pouch. I think I got some identical fabric at the thrift store, or maybe it was a sheet that I used as fabric. Anyhoo... off to browse, stop by sometime!

You must have the most amazing thrift shops near you. The one in the middle is sooooo fab! I like the one on the left a lot too.

I'd say that's a whole lotta fabric for $10. The green, blue and white daisies are my favorite.

I love the yellow with blue roses. I have a sheet/pillow case obsession...I find them at the thrift stores but they aren't in the best shape. I have yet to figure out what to make with them, I like the way they look stacked! Actually, one pretty pillowcase was falling apart & I did use part of it for a stuffed animal - oh, it is soooosoft, too.

I have the one with the daisies! Can't figure out what I want to do with it, so for now I use it as a tablecover in the yard.

I love the Mums too - I have been striking out at the thrift store lately. I still find plenty to buy, LOL, but I'm not really considering them treasures.

Heck, yeah, the one in the middle is fabulous! What's the big, plain brownish one on the bottom of the other stack? Wool? Linen? Burlap?

I just love thrifted sheets! You're right, the middle one is fabulous. And I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one buying them willy-nilly with nere a project in sight.

Great find. I'm trying to stay away from the thrift store, since my pile of fabric is so large that I can not possibly add to it until I reduce it with some sewing.

YUM!!! My fave is definitely the one in the middle too. Do you know that I have a big shelf full of thrifted sheets and no plans for any of them. I can't help it, they are so soft and pretty and wonderful! Congrats!

I'm so jealous of that vintage fabric! The thrift stores around here have been dried up in that department. Have fun with it!
Posted by:Toni | August 29, 2007 at 06:58 PM
Lovely! I wish my thrift stores had that kind of selection...
What is that fabric on the very bottom of the stack?
