quickie thrifting

Yesterday I made a quick run to the thrift store.  The stock was low, but I was lucky enough to find some goodies.

2 pieces of fabric + 4 sheets + 4 pillowcases = $10, not bad.

These are my favorites.  The coloring is off in the photo, but I think you get the idea.  I would have taken a better picture using daylight, but they were still in the wash.   Isn't that one in the middle fabulous?  As usual, I have no plans for these, but they sure are pretty to look at!

Hey! I just found your blog today, and glad I did! So cute! I love the lil pouch. I think I got some identical fabric at the thrift store, or maybe it was a sheet that I used as fabric. Anyhoo... off to browse, stop by sometime!

You must have the most amazing thrift shops near you. The one in the middle is sooooo fab! I like the one on the left a lot too.

Oh I love the colors! Way to go on the thrifting trip. :)

I'd say that's a whole lotta fabric for $10. The green, blue and white daisies are my favorite.

Ohhh, love them all :D I found some great things this week too :D Saving them to post on Thursday though. Lovely lovely lovely :D

I think I have the same pillowcase! The one with the daisies... I cut into it to make the lining for a bag for bag month at sew mama sew.(I never finished it) I'm still trying to figure out what to make with the leftovers. It's pretty funky

I love the yellow with blue roses. I have a sheet/pillow case obsession...I find them at the thrift stores but they aren't in the best shape. I have yet to figure out what to make with them, I like the way they look stacked! Actually, one pretty pillowcase was falling apart & I did use part of it for a stuffed animal - oh, it is soooosoft, too.

Wow! You get such great thrift fabric finds. I love the ones you picked as your faves, too. Great choice!

My mom and I usually try to hit the thrift store at least once a week. I got tons of fabric last week. It is so fun to find it for SO CHEAP!!! I love the great fabric you found. I have no doubt you'll make something amazing from each of them. Be sure to share on your blog!

I love the one on the right.I have a thing for blue roses!

the 70s were so cheerful, weren't they?

What a great find. Love the colors. Be sure to share your projects with all of us.

I have the one with the daisies! Can't figure out what I want to do with it, so for now I use it as a tablecover in the yard.

the one in the middle is adorable!

Oh and thank you soooo much for my birthday surprise. You have to be one of the nicest bloggers out here! SO thoughtful :) LOVE the pouch. It's adorable! gummi bears and swedish fish are of course apppreciated!

the stock was low and you found those beauties? wow - must be a good thrift store.

The middle one totally rocks.

The middle one IS fabulous!!!

wow - nice haul! very jealous, our shops have been low on cool linens!

I love the Mums too - I have been striking out at the thrift store lately. I still find plenty to buy, LOL, but I'm not really considering them treasures.

ooh, great haul!

the green blue and white flowers are wonderful!

Wow, great stuff! I never do that well when I go thrifting!

Great finds! Those colors are so inspirational.

Heck, yeah, the one in the middle is fabulous! What's the big, plain brownish one on the bottom of the other stack? Wool? Linen? Burlap?

I just love thrifted sheets! You're right, the middle one is fabulous. And I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one buying them willy-nilly with nere a project in sight.

Great find. I'm trying to stay away from the thrift store, since my pile of fabric is so large that I can not possibly add to it until I reduce it with some sewing.

YUM!!! My fave is definitely the one in the middle too. Do you know that I have a big shelf full of thrifted sheets and no plans for any of them. I can't help it, they are so soft and pretty and wonderful! Congrats!

I always look at pictures before I read the text and I have to say that the middle one was my fav too! What fun finds! I never have plans for my fabric either- maybe that's why my stash is outta control!

i really love the yellow and blue one as well!! way to thrift!

Fantastic finds Beki. I love the nice bright colours!

I'm so jealous of that vintage fabric! The thrift stores around here have been dried up in that department. Have fun with it!

Lovely! I wish my thrift stores had that kind of selection...
What is that fabric on the very bottom of the stack?
