gratitude friday
Another week has gone by, a week that went by all too quickly. I'm sure being sick for most of it had everything to do with this. My days ran together in a blur tissues, coughing fits and bad daytime TV. I'm not complaining, sometimes it's nice to have a little down time.
This week I am grateful for:
- finally coming out of the haze of sickness
- my new lovlies from my recent thrifting trip
- french onion soup - it's surprisingly easy to make
- the comfort of my bed
- being almost finished with removing the tile from my kitchen floor (that will get a whole post soon!)
- for Lily's love of drawing - we've been drawing together each evening in our sketch books
- Alex's "I love you Mommy" - he gets out of bed 23 times a night to tell me this along with "you're so pretty", that little stinker!
- having some down time to finally catch up on my sleep
- Ava's little tushy - just seeing that little bum brings a smile to my face
Have a great weekend, friends - give your loved ones a squeeze and go have some fun!!
**sorry for the pictureless post, my internet connection was crap this evening!

glad you're feeling better, beki!

Isn't it funny how kids figure out the things that you want to hear at such a young age! One of my boys, when he is getting into trouble, will always say "Mommy I want you to hug me!" It gets me every time!

I love the pillow cases, got my mind going for a new project!
I too have a little bum in my life that makes me smile so.
Glad your better, being sick stinks.

You always do so well thrifting. Wish I had that luck. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Can hardly wait to hear about your tile. Took hubby and I 8hrs to bash out the tile from just our foyer!!!

How cute that your son uses you as an excuse to get out of bed over and over... gotta love that!

Glad to hear you're feeling better. That flu is miserable! (miserable can't even begin to describe it!). Your floor will look AWESOME! Incredible amount of work...yikes. Inspiration for me to bean dh into removing the carpet in our living room in this old house. The prev. owner said there's dark pine underneath. You can see how dark it is from the basement. I'm thinking maybe it's not pine...but am not sure if I'm brave enough like you! Thanks for sharing! Paula

my son uses the "you're so pretty" and "i just want to be with you all the time" bits. but you know, i never get tired of it. even if he does use them mostly to keep from doing something i have told him to do..like napping!
