Yum

strawberries

When I saw the guy selling  Louisiana Berries on the side of the road, I couldn't resist.  I bought half a flat.

strawberries

I've already eaten a pint all by myself.  I don't think these will last too long in this house.

Comments

I bought some on Thursday- they were soooo good!

Yum for sure. Now all you need is some melted chocolate and your in business.

LOve the second picture!

oooooh yummy. We are having a snow storm today with up to 16" expected to fall. How I would love to go strawberry picking, well in about 4 1/2 months we can. The Strawberries in the grocery store even looked gross this morning. I will envy you every last strawberry you've eaten.

You can make strawberry jelly/jam if don't end up eating them all!

yum, those look delicious! I can't wait for the local strawberries to be in season. You can't beat them.

So jealous! Those look gorgeous!

Oh my gosh- I'm so jealous! Can't find those on the side of the road in Minnesota right now... bummer.

You just HAD to show us them ... huh?

(They look great!)

Wow, those look delish! I need to go to our local farmers market and see if I can find some. It was 91 degrees in TX yesterday!!

I am thinking Strawberry Shortcake. Yum!

Oh, my gosh, those make me just crazy for spring!! They look divine.... I wish I could see something other than brown and white out my window.... Enjoy!!

already? oh, you're gonna kill me...

yum . . . yum . . . yum!!!!! i want some for strawberry shortcake!!!

Local strawberries in February? Dang... I thought the crocuses in my yard were something to be proud of...

I'm jealous.

Those look delicious!

oh we love love strawberries in our house! Lucky you.
They look absolutely delicious.
enjoy!

Yippeeeee! I love Louisiana Strawberries! I will be on the lookout for farmers on the roadside, those are always the best Strawberries. My children adore them, they could eat a whole flat in one sitting. Of course, there are 7 of them LOL

yay, they look gooood!!!

oh dear... one of my top five things I miss about living in a warmer climate.... delish.

Seriously, I could just taste these! OH please spring! come soon. I am so envious! Good for you for eating a pint by yourself...I would do the same thing!

Oooo that reminds me that it's probably time to take the boys strawberry picking again! :o)

those look delicious! I can't wait until all the yummy fruits and veggies come into season and I can go to the farmers market again!

Oooh lovely!! I love them when they are in season. My M-i-L bought some imported ones recently - yuk - they were hard and watery with no taste. I can wait for the good ones that we get in the summer :)

xx

You are torturing me! I won't see strawberries for sale locally until June, we just had 10 new inches of snow yesterday. You did the right thing, you stopped to smell the strawberries and bought them too!

Oh, yum! One of my favorite snacks in the summer is bananas and strawberries. Enjoy!

Oh, they look so good... I can't wait until June to go picking!

yum...they look so good. We have them at the wally world here, but they don't look half as good!
Paula

My mouth is totally watering. And I don't even like strawberries all that much. But those look yummy.

ooh. i wish i had some!

Holy crap those look good! It's Feb though? We don't see fresh berries here in P-Town until AUG! How lucky are you!

I can almost smell them. They look so delicious.

I was just reading your post about your bags and your desire for the perfect top stitch. You know what? It looks pretty darn perfect too me! I think sometimes we are our own worst critics. The bags look lovely Beki!

Yummy...strawberries remind me of my birthday, June time, strawberries and cream with a bit of tennis thrown in!!!

We had some of those last week from East Texas! Yummmm!

Yum!!! You are making me long for our California days when I would be enjoying them right along with you.

Those look delicious!

OMG! I can't believe you have strawberries already! We've got another 3 months at least.

ANOTHER 4 inches of snow last nigh...:(

Those strawberries are almost obscene they're so luscious looking.
