preoccupied
I'm cheating on my fabric. I'm kind of cheating on my buttons, but they're involved. I've developed a love affair with beads. Not just any beads, vintage plastic & glass beads. Oh, how I love them! What initially attracted me is how well they match my vintage buttons. It's a match made in heaven.
It all started when I stopped in a local bead shop that had some of these beauties. Then I started searching on line. Oh boy! I have to control myself, really.
Look what I made. There are more in the works, along with lots earrings. I find putting these together very therapeutic, though I must admit that I'm starting to miss my fabric. By the way, these are in the shop if you're interested.
Lucky me, I have a friend who's supporting my habit. Thanks Susan, I LOVE them :)

Oooh they're lovely!! I love the pendants you've made. You can never have too many beads!!

Oh my. these are gorgeous. right up my alley! You should see my bead collection. I am forbidden from going in the bead store at all.

Oh that's so funny! I love what you've done! I think it's fun and necessary to change it up occasionally - it's okay to take a break from the fabric - then, when you get back to it, you'll be refreshed. I've been knitting for two days.
We need to go with these things - it feeds the creative spirit.

GORGEOUS - the beads themselves, and what you're making with them. I think new crafty obsessions are -ahem!- extremely healthy and beneficial.

You manage to create the loveliest things out of ANYTHING! I love it.

Haha... I was at Bella Dia's site a moment ago, and she also just posted about beads and jewelry-making! You guys are all making me want to learn a new craft!
Love the "turquoise ridges" and still love the "wild daisies" bag. *sigh*

Your pairing of pendants and necklaces is great - they're not too matchy, but perfect for one another. Vintage beads are so fun to work with - the punchy colors just kill me! Beautiful job, as usual!

I jump around from craft to craft also. Don't worry. The fabric and buttons will forgive you. They will be ecstatic when you get back to them! Your beads are so cute.

Uh oh, you've caught the bug. Now, whatever you do, *don't* pick up a package of polymer clay and learn to make your own beads. There's no recovering from *that* addiction... I'm the voice of experience ;-)
