spring fever
I do believe I have spring fever. It's causing me to make bags like crazy. I can't stop thinking about bags in pretty spring fabrics!
This is my latest. I love the splashes of green in this fabric!
You can't really see the pleats (tucks?) with that busy fabric, but they're there. It was my goal to combine some type of pleat with more of a rectangular tote shape.
This one is nice and roomy, perfect for all my purse essentials plus a few magazines. Yes, this one is mine.
Happy weekend, friends! I hope the fever spreads to you, too :o)

Awww, man! I was just going to head to the shop to check it out and hopefully put it in my shopping cart! It's so pretty! Nice work.

I haven't sewed in AGES!!! You're inspiring me though. I think it's time for a few new spring bags of my own.
I love all of yours!

I love the contrast between the floral and the black and white polka dots! I'm definitely in the spring spirit too, although it's still pretty cold where I am. I've been planting seeds and clearing the rubbish out of the garden to make way for a summer filled with flowers!

I love the fabrics in this bag!
do you have any tips for keeping your pleats even? someone told me there is a gadget you can use...but there must be a trick for keeping them perfect. Mine always look just a tiny bit off no matter how careful I am. so now I am afraid of them!

I love the fabric combo - you're good at picking fabrics I wouldn't think go together but you see that they will!
How to you do your bottom corners? Is your pattern a curve with a wedge shape cut out? (If that makes sense...)

Ooh, very nice! The pleats work great with this bag. I like how they pretty up the tote bag - I always want pretty bags, but need big practical ones - this is the best of both worlds!

Cute bag Beki. Nothing like some floral fabric to welcome Spring.

I love your bag. You should think about selling the pattern. I think a ton of people would buy it, although none of us could make it as well as you do. That fabric is beautiful.

I know exactly what you mean! I've been having a busy bag making rush with lots of pretty florals and bright colors - it MUST be that spring is nearly here (oh please, it really is nearly isn't it!?) I love your bag, so pretty.
