My mother-in-law had this old butcher block in storage. I think it looks perfect in my kitchen. Thanks Brenda!!

I always wanted one of those to use like a kitchen island, but I don't have space for one as I have a long skinney kitchen. I love yours. I'm sure you will enjoy it.
Beki, I just wanted to say that thus far you have done so well with your May Challenge. I am so enjoying your pictures and a few words that you are doing each day this month. Not saying I want it to be like this all the time because I do enjoy your chatting but you are doing an excellent job with what you sat out to do this month of May. Keep up the good work, enjoy your activites of May and come back and chat with us in June. Love the butcher block.

(and I've really *tried* not to innudate you with a gazillion comments, really I have. You just do stuff and share stuff that inherently comment-worthy!)
Oh wow! I've always wanted a butcher block table. We had friends growing up who had one and it was really worn and wavy, having come for a real butcher shop. Enjoy yours!
What a fabulous piece! It looks so great standing there with the light streaming in on it. Your photos have been filled with wonderful light recently. Even your piles of laundry look great in it!
