I think I've had my fill of knitting for now - so far, I like how the collar turned out on the blue cardi and I'm in the process of extending the seed stitch at the bottom. So, to change things up a bit I'll flip back to that crazy-ass colorful quilt top I finished up a few weeks ago. I'm feeling the itch to reconnect with my sewing machine.
With so much going on with the front, I wanted something calming on the back, but I still wanted some color. Going from memory, I picked out these kona cotton solids at the fabric store. I was so pleased when they actually coordinated. Oh, and the flea market fancy print at the top of the solids will most likely be the binding.
I'm still not sure what direction I'll go on the back, but there will be big blocks of color. My goal is to cut these up as little as possible. I'll fill in the gaps with more of the front fabric. This should be interesting...
Oh, I've also been thinking about bags again. I'm getting tired of the Lily Beth bag I've been carrying around, and with all the knitting I've been bringing everywhere with me I need something new and BIG. As of now I've only to the point of sketching and brainstorming. Ah, so much creating to do, so little time - I'm not complaining, I'm enjoying it every step of the way!!
