The first time I saw Erin's wall, I was in love. That was over 2.5 years ago. I started my collection right then. I'm not the fastest collector, but since then I've collected a few L's. In my mad house decorating frenzy a few weeks ago, I decided to finally hang up my collection. I LOVE it.
Some I bought as is, others I embellished myself, which is fun in itself. Lily is decorating that green one in the middle with torn pieces of paper, but she isn't done yet (I wonder where she got that personality trait from??). Now that the collection is on the wall and I see it every day, I'm more on the look out for L's. I'd like to fill up that whole corner surrounding the stairs with L's. L seems to be a popular letter. More than once, all the L's have been sold out when I stumble upon some letters.
To carry the theme a little further, I decided to make an L monogrammed pillow for my sofa. That's the same fabric as my bench with an panel of heavy muslin. The pillow came out bigger than I envisioned, but I'm okay with it. I figure if I get sick of it, I can always take it apart and trim it down a little. I really enjoyed the process of embroidering the L, which made me realize that I should try some more embroidery projects. I was fun looking through all the bazillion embroidery stitches that exist. My sofa is still in need of a few more pillows, but I'm over it for now. My little frenzies only keep my attention for so long, then it's time to move on.
