With my sewing machine in the shop and our busy schedule, my attention has returned to knitting. I look forward to my evenings of trash TV and knitting (and a glass of pinot). As you can see, my deep breath sweater is moving right a long. I love the combination of this fingering weight yarn and size 8 needles. It's so bouncy and light. It's also pretty stretchy, which works grest for sizing. Even though this is 100% wool, I think I'll get a lot of use out of this sweater throughout the year - even summer.
I decided to shorten the sleeves to elbow length, which I LOVE. This was the first time that I knit the sleeves before finishing the body, which I like. I always seem to loose steam before I get to the sleeves, so this is the perfect solution for me. Now I'm on to the rounds and rounds of stockinette stitch, but I like that. Sometimes I don't feel like thinking too much while knitting (I guess that explains the trash TV and pinot) - I can let my fingers fly through the stitches. When I finish this one, I want to start a v-neck version. Yeah, I like this sweater that much!
