Really, should I be surprised anymore? This is the scene I walked into on Sunday afternoon. When I left the room, she and Lily were quietly painting with watercolor paints. Leaving her alone with any sort of art supply usually isn't a good idea, but Lily - Ms. Responsibility - was there. Surely I could leave the room for a few minutes while they were occupied, right?
Apparently not. I guess plain old watercolor paints weren't enough for her. She managed to find some acrylic paints, which I didn't even know we had. She also found the glitter.
I wasn't upset even though she ruined her clothes and I had just finished cleaning this area, including mopping the floors (something I, um, don't get to very often). I simply grabbed my camera to document another 'Ava incident' (a reasonable reaction, no?). As you can see, she wouldn't look at me.
Of course she meant no harm, she never does. She's such a sweet, happy girl, just very, very curious...and busy.
Last night while I was writing my blog post I heard her in my bathroom. It had been a while since she left to go potty so I asked "Ava, what are you doing?". I heard some quick movements then she responded "Anything, Mama. I not putting on your lip gloss." She then ran out of my bathroom with bright pink lips.
Yep, she keeps me on my toes. What am I going to do with that girl???
Elenka, I think you jinxed me with your comment about wanting an Ava story ;-)
