How was your weekend? Full of fun and rest, I hope. Me, well, we (Lily) had a soccer tournament. - the last hoorah of the season. Thankfully the weather was beautiful. It was a bit cool on Saturday morning, but absolutely perfect by Saturday afternoon. Sunday was just as lovely. The kids had a blast playing on the playground equipment during the games. I love when we play at parks with nice playgrounds.
I’m so proud of Lily and her team. They played well this weekend. It wasn’t quite well enough to move on to the next level, but they ended on a win and had a lot of fun - that’s the most we could ask for.
In between the soccer I tried to get caught up on the laundry (blah!). Does it ever end? As a family of 6, I guess not. At the end of the day all our dirty clothes make up a whole load.
Soccer may be over for now, but baseball is just beginning. And dance is still going on. These kids of mine sure do keep me busy!
In case you’re wondering, I’m still working on my alabama chanin inspired project. I can’t wait to wear it! It fits okay, but I think I need to take apart back seam to take up a little fullness. I’ll decide that once I finish all the arm & neck bindings. Goodness, my stretch stitches need work! It took me many attempts to settle on one that I could do half-way decent. I already miss the outline stitching! I’m ready for another project. Maybe I’ll work on a wall hanging or pillow next. I like mindless beautiful stitching :)
Have y’all been working on anything interesting? Have you seen any cool projects out there in blogland? I’m terribly out the loop, please share!
