I have a hard time coming up with ideas for supper. I don't know why that is because I love to cook, but most evenings I come up blank. Because of this I've decided to start keeping track of meals I've cooked that my family enjoys. That way, when I'm drawing a blank I can browse my food album to jump start my memory. I doubt I'll blog about everything I add to the album, but here are a few things that have worked in the past week or so.
baked fish, sauteed green bean with red potatoes, wild rice, green salad
meatloaf, broccoli, roasted carrots, mac & cheese (Lily's fav)
shish kabob - our new summer favorite (top sirloin, zucchini, yellow squash, red onions, bell pepper, new potato) served with grilled corn on the cob
I wish I could cook like this every night, but that isn't the case. I usually cook "meals" 2-3 times per week, have a left overs night, have a convince food night (frozen lasagna or pizza), have a night of breakfast food, and fill in the blanks with take-out, mostly on the weekends. Nobody's starving at my house!
