Meet Pinkie, who Lily now wants to call Goldie, the newest member of our family. Anyone want to take bets on how long this will last? As if keeping a goldfish alive wasn't hard enough, let's hope that Oreo doesn't discover him.
In other news, while working on my Friday WIP, my el cheapo sewing machine has decided that it wants to die. It suddenly started sewing a slight zig-zag stitch when it isn't on a zig-zag setting. Not good. The stitching is getting all crazy wonky on me. I've tried all the usual things: clean, oil, new needle, tension, but that doesn't help. I knew when I bought it that it wouldn't last long, but I didn't think it'd be this soon. Of course I could bring it to get serviced, but I need a machine NOW. This only means one thing, I must face my fear and use Big Bertha, who Cathy thinks I should rename to make less intimidating. From here on out, my industrial machine will be referred to as Richelle, which means well built in French. (I'm real original - the machine is a Riccar) I think I'll also apply some stickers to pretty her up, that should be a nice touch, right? Tonight it's just me and Richelle. I'm kicking my fear to the curb. Wish me luck!!
