Hiya. Sorry for my lack of posting, but I'm in kind of a funk. I hate when I get like this, but you can't appreciate the highs unless you have some lows, right? This will pass, I know it. May is one of my favorite months after all, I don't want to waste it being in a funk! I have some good things to look forward to in the near future - Mother's Day and my birthday (could be part of the funk). I am most certain that some quality time in my revamped sewing studio will snap me rigth out of it, but I haven't had the chance lately. Since I've been so unproductive and unmotivated, I thought I'd share some lovelies that have arrived at my house in the past few weeks.
Isn't this duck painting by Carmen fabulous? I had been following her progress in painting her barnyard series on her blog, so when she put them up for sale in her etsy shop I jumped on it. I absolutely LOVE this painting. It looks perfect on Alex's bedroom wall.

Last week I received a surprise package from Kristy. I almost fell over when I opened this! This is the cutest little smocket! I can't wait for Ava to wear it. I plan on making a little pair of red bloomers to wear under it. I have the perfect piece of red eyelet fabric, sent to me by MaryAnn some time ago. I have to mention that MaryAnn also sent Ava a book for her birthday, her first birthday present ever!

Kristy not only sent Ava the smocket, but also candy goodness for Lily and Alex (which they devoured in an instant) as well as some yummy fabric for me. Thanks Kristy!!!

Last but not least, about a month ago Lera sent me these vintage sheets, just because. Love her!! I don't have a plan for these yet, but I'm sure I'll come up with something.
Ah, I feel better now. Just thinking about all the kindness and wonderful things I've recieved has brought a smile to my face. Blogging, I couldn't do without it!!! Thank you :)
