This afternoon I popped into the thrift store to see if there were any good finds. I don't think I did too bad. See that brown fabric above? I love it. I already have visions of shoulder bags dancing in my head. All that is fabric. Someone must have given up their stash.
Here are the pillowcases. Do you see a theme here? I think today must be gold/tan/beige/brown day. I love those two on the far right. They look so current for being old pillowcases.
This sheet and pillowcase didn't fit the color theme because they're blue, but I couldn't pass them up. Oh yeah, and those packages of bias tapes were a great find!
The beauty above wasn't found at the thrift store. I purchased it yesterday at an antique store. Isn't it beautiful? It is one of a set of vintage pillowcases. (Again with the theme color.) It was because of this set of pillowcases that I went to the thrift store today. I'm embarrassed to admit what I paid for it, but I couldn't let them go. I'll probably make pillowcase dresses for my girls out of them. Just in case you're curious, I spent twice as much for this set of pillowcases than I did for all the stuff I bought at the thrift store (6 pillowcases, 4 pieces of fabric, 1 sheet, and all those bindings) it kills me!
