Okay, things are pretty much back on track at my house (not so much for the community). Today the kids went back to school and I went back to work. It felt good to return to my normal routine. Yesterday I finally picked up my sewing machine from the shop. *YAY* I haven't sewn in well over a week. I'm feeling the urge, but my attention has turned to feathering my nest. This happens to me every fall. I want to rearrange and redecorate. Right now my plan is to make a couple of slip covers for chairs and some table skirts. These are all projects that I've had on my agenda for quite a while. It will feel good to finally get them done and checked off my list. I also have a new purse design I'd like to make. Maybe this weekend I'll get around to it, if I'm lucky.
I have been knitting. I'm almost finished with both Ms. Marigold and my Cavern Cardigan. I was afraid that the cardigan might be too small because the pattern was written for a medium, and I'm more of a L/XL. I was on my own with adding stitches. After finishing the body, I am happy to report that it does fit!! I love, love, love that seed stitch edge. Now I have my fingers crossed that Ms. Marigold isn't too big.
Hopefully I'll make my way to my sewing machine soon and have something finished to show. Hooray for getting back in the groove!
