Hmmmm. Being in the mood doesn't always align with reality, which is exactly what happened. This week is a little nutty. Now that basketball season has started, I'm flying solo at least two nights a week. This week there will be 3 nights. And my kids are horrible at bedtime (well, only one is, and I'm sure you can guess which one she is). *sigh* No sewing has taken place. I also started to freak a little when I realized that it's Dec. 2nd and I haven't done one thing holiday related - no gifts, no decorations, no nothing. I don't know when I'll fit that in. Bah, humbug. I'm still not feeling it. Didn't we just have Halloween? Oh well, time marches on and I must fall in line. I think once my tree is up I'll feel a little merry.
After blurting out all my worries to Matt once he got home, I cut myself some slack and poured a glass of wine. We'll do the best we can. I was then able to cut out a few bags - two are custom orders, but once I got started, I decided to cut out two more. These will be replicas of this, kinda sorta. I may change up the leaf design on the two extras. Those two will be in my shop in about a week...hopefully. Oh, did I mention that I was able to find the same fabric as my original, which was purchased many years ago? Yes, pretty amazing. I'm certain that this new fabric isn't off the same bolt, but it is the same fabric. Upon locating this fabric I learned that my dear friend, who owned the fabric store that opened my eyes to the wonderful world of textiles, had retired. My beloved Run of the Mill is no longer. It was kind of emotional going into the store that bought her stock. It just wasn't the same. I can't express what an impression that fabric store, and the owner, has made on my life. Linda holds a very special place in my heart, I wish her all the best.
Well, that's all, folks.
