For some reason, the knitting bug has bitten me again. But this time, I'm in the mood to knit warm weather knits. I suppose the beautiful spring weather we had this weekend has everything to do with it - finishing up my tea leaves re-do or the other cardigan I started just doesn't feel right anymore. I like to work on things that I can foresee myself wearing in the near future. Yes, we have been having abnormally cooler weather than normal, but I don't think I'll have a need for wool any time soon. Shoot, this winter was the first that I can ever remember needing wool!
I started browsing Ravelry for something new, but really, I can't do that. Off the top of my head, I can think of at least 4 knits in progress that I started last summer/fall. I think I need to finish up at least one of those before I move on, and most are so very close to being done.
I think I'll start with shetland shorty. I started this one while I was on vacation last summer, in July. I don't know why I never finished it. The only problem is that I have no idea where I was when I stopped. I think I can figure it out, but my stitch counts are off. I'm usually a boring knits kind of gal, mainly because I don't like to think too much while knitting. This lace pattern isn't too complicated or anything, but you do have to think about it every once in a while. Maybe that's why I dropped it! I'm going to give it a shot, and if all else fails, I'll rip it out and start over. It's been so long since I touched the thing, starting fresh won't hurt a bit!
