Weekend before last, on Sunday morning I woke up at 4 am. At the time, my mouth was hurting and I couldn't sleep (no worries, my mouth has been fine for days). I tried to stay in bed, but after an hour I decided to get up and make some coffee. The house was so quiet. At that point, I had not made the "scales" bag, so I thought I'd spend some time in my sewing room playing with that idea.
When I got up to the room, I ended up cleaning instead. You know how that goes...move this to there, then one thing leads to another. That room really was in need of a cleaning. While I was picking up I came across the parts to this little bag that I had cut out and pieced at least a year ago. It was a happy little surprise.
I got the chance to sew it up last week. While putting it together, I decided to add a little patch pocket to the back, just because. It sure is a fun little bag. I don't know why I never finished it. But it is finished now, and in the shop. I *think* this is the same size as the pattern I have is in the fall 2009 issue of Stitch. In fact, that may be why I cut it out, pieced the front and never sewed it - as a dry run before submitting the pattern....who knows, but that sounds like a good enough explanation!
