This baby will be here only hours from now, and I think I'm ready. The past few weeks I've been in extreme nesting mode, sewing this and that getting everything together. (please ignore that rug, a new one is on the way)
It started when I decided to turn a corner of my bedroom into a nursery. I didn't plan on it being anything fancy, but in browsing for some bedding to purchase, I came across something I had to make.
Then I decided that I needed to make those curtains that I bought fabric for over 2 years ago. And then dingy old platform rocker needed a new slipcover (I rocked all my babies in that chair, it had to be included).
And while I was at it, I decided to make my own bed a new bed skirt to replace the one I made when we were first married. It is made from the same fabric as the baby's bedding. Yeah, a little out of control.
But it is all done and now I feel like I can relax. This is the view from my side of the bed. I'll be spending a LOT of time here over the next few months, it might as well be to my liking.
The artwork was made by the kids. The newest big sister required a little help, but that's okay. So sweet.
Here's one last view of my belly. I can't wait to meet that little girl inside!! I'll be trying out mobil blogging from my phone tomorrow once the wee one is here. Any guesses on the size of this one? My biggest (Lily) was 10# 2oz, the smallest (Ava) 9#, I have a feeling this is another whopper! Until tomorrow...
