I'm still here, still stitching away. A little bit here and there during those rare moments when I'm not baby tending. I have to remind myself to use that time for stitching instead of the laundry. When I use all my time for laundry and dishes it makes me grumpy.
Oh, but things are going by so very quickly. Those baby free moments are increasing now that baby girl goes to bed at a reasonable hour and stays asleep. Big projects are still on the backburner. I'm afraid that as soon as I get immersed in something, she'll wake up and need me. Stitching is perfect.
Miss Chicken is still in need of binding - that requires taking out the sewing machine. The butterfly is done. A bird is almost done. And now I've moved on to a flower, half way done, with a new stencil design cut and ready, waiting to be traced.
I'm still experimenting. Do I prefer stitching things, like birds and butterflies? or designs? curves? angular shapes? I'm not sure yet, but the only way I'll figure it out is by trying it all. And then I'll get bored with this medium and move on to something else.
It's all about the process, that much I know for sure.
