Yesterday afternoon while I was out in my yard enjoying the glorious spring weather, I was reminded of old times. Ava, Alex and their friends were playing on the swings while I piddled around the yard with Ceci.
There was a time not so long ago when this was our routine, only Ava was the baby, and Alex before that while Lily played on the swings. So many afternoons we spent in this little yard of ours.
Our playset has seen better days. The dry rotted canopy is in need of replacement, and it's just about time to add a baby swing. I had Matt tighten up the loose boards that have wiggled out of place from all the many hours of play.
As Ceci's babyhood is quickly flashing before my eyes I find mysef reflecting on how quickly it all goes by.
Can you believe that Ava will be celebrating a birthday soon? 6!! Another birthday party, another celebration.
Before I know it I'll be preparing for Ceci's birthday party. It will most probably be right here in the backyard.
Okay, I'm getting all weepy now. This little (big) family of mine needs to slow down already!!
