So, Isaac is here. And it seems like he has no intention of leaving any time soon. Rain, rain, rain.
Much to my surprise, we still have power. We totally expected to lose it during the night last night, but it's still on. According to the power company maps, we're in the minority. I keep expecting to lose it at any moment, which would totally suck.
Overall, we've been very lucky. So far we've only had a few small limbs litter the yard and the ditches are filling up, but this storm isn't over yet. There were plenty of times during the night and today when it felt like our house was going to blow away. I never knew our house was so creaky!
As much as we can, with our good fortune of power, we're trying to enjoy our little hurricane-holiday. We caught up on our dvr'ed tv shows, all the laundry is done (until we take baths tonight), I bound a quilt, and I'm catching up on my granny squares. All in all, not too bad!
Keep your fingers crossed that Isaac gets tired of us real soon and decides to share the wealth of all this rain with somebody who needs it more than we do :)
