Hey there! What’s been going on? Lots of good, I hope :) Around here we’ve been busy with the usual things, mostly centered around kid activities, eating, and having clean clothes to wear. We’re knee deep in basketball right now with 3 kids playing. Our Saturdays are crazy. Add to that Lily’s soccer schedule - one league ending another beginning. Whew!
Despite all that, I need to create. NEED it. I’ve had my sewing machine sitting out since I finished up the quilt, but I haven’t done anything on her. Somehow just looking at her satisfies something. My hope is that when I get a free moment I’ll sit down to work on a project. I’m determined to finish up some unfinished projects before I move on to new things. It's so much fun dreaming about new things, isn’t it?

Occupying my brain right now is a new quilt design I’d like to try out, but sitting next to that neglected sewing machine is a stack of unfinished blocks I started a year ago. I must get those blocks done first! Both the unfinished quilt and the new idea are both going to be awesome, of course!
Oh, oh, I almost forgot - I cut off all my hair :) (old hair)
It all started with a decision to wear my hair curly. Ava’s curls are longer now and need lots of attention. So there I was, professing to her about curl care and how pretty her curls are, yet I straighten my own curls. Ah-em. I scheduled an appointment with a “curl specialist” to teach me how to care for my curls. He did a little trim, but that wasn’t enough. If I was going to embrace my curls, I need to start fresh with something totally different, so I went short. I love it! With less hair to deal with, I’m sure I’ll keep up with my new routine and be less tempted to return to my old straightening ways.
Well, I guess that’ll do it for now. Happy weekend - have a great one :)
P.S.
One month in and my 365 project is still going strong. All photos above, except the crappy cell phone pic are from there. Also, I might have a little announcement here on Monday :)
